The Star Theater is sponsored by St. Lukes/Roosevelt hospital in NYC and for 20 years has been a pioneer in the development of peer AIDS prevention through theatrically based education. I was thrilled to be asked to adapt to video the work these talented teens created for the stage. Four minutes here excerpting scenes on AIDS related issues, teen pregnancy, drug use, hemophilia, and a variety of social issues. Several of the teen actors I worked with from this program have grown into successful careers, like Kerri Washington who co-starred in the film “Ray” and “The last King of Scotland”
